- What’s included
1. DAY of your private tour in Cuba = Arrival
After you touchdown at Havana airport, your Vamos Cuba guide will offer you a warm Cuban greeting and then take you to your casa particular, taking in some of the sights around Havana on the way. Your guide will run through your itinerary with you, and then leave you with some local insider tips so you can explore your neighbourhood.
2. DAY = Havana
After a delicious homemade breakfast prepared by your casa particular host, your guide will pick you up at your preferred time and take you to the city. You could spend a year in Havana and still not see everything, but we’re pretty confident we can tell you all about the iconic highlights and more! You’ll be free to head out and explore the city on your own with some helpful advice from your Vamos Cuba guide.
2 nights accommodation: Casa Particular Comfort in Havana
3.DAY = Havana to Cienfuegos
Breakfast will again be spent with your host family, and then you will leave Havana for Cienfuegos. On the way we will visit the Cienega de Zapata, an expansive national park found on the south coast of the island. The national park is home to the Taino Indian Village, which we will reach by motorboat. You will also have the chance to visit the Guama crocodile breeding farm – if you’re interested in seeing the 16 species of crocodile that call it home.
Entrance fees not included: est. $12 CUC
1 night Casa Particular Comfort in Cienfuegos
4.DAY = Cienfuegos to Trinidad
After breakfast, we’ll hit the road to Trinidad, but not without checking out some stunning sights along the way first. Where we stop is entirely up to you, but here we offer some suggestions…
Why not enjoy a moment of calm at the Laguna Guanaroca, home to the majestic pink flamingo? It's your private Cuba tour, so if it's wildlife you're after, we can help show you the best the island has to offer!
If it’s sand you’re after, you can’t go wrong with a trip to Playa Rancho Luna, a pristine beach with crystal-clear and warm waters. Its few minutes away from the laguna with flamencos and on the way to the next stop El Nicho.
Another great spot to visit is a trip to El Nicho waterfalls, an outstandingly beautiful area with lagoons and plenty of scenery to enjoy along the way. Dont forget to take your swimming suit with you.
The trip to El Nicho is about one hour from Playa Rancho Luna.
Entrance fees to all sites not included.
5. DAY = Trinidad & Around
Today you’ll have the chance to explore Trinidad, a little slice of Spanish Colonial life trapped in time. In 1988 it was made an UNESCO world heritage site, and you’ll soon see why! Get lost in the winding streets and feel your stress melt away as the friendly locals brighten up your visit.
We can tailor your visit to your personal interests, so make sure you let us know what you really want to see!
2 nights accommodation: Casa Particular Comfort in Trinidad
6. DAY: Trinidad to Viñales
After a traditional Trinidad breakfast, we’ll hit the road to Viñales, a small town in the Pinar del Río Province of Cuba. It is famous for its picturesque landscapes, as the whole town is surrounded by a low mountain range.
You will have the chance to visit local 'finca' (plantation) with explanation of tobacco growing. They will also demonstrate how to roll a cigar.
7.DAY: Viñales & around
Today, the world is your oyster once more. We would recommend a day trip to Cayo Jutías, a mere 60km from Trinidad, which should take no longer than 90 minutes.
Expect white sand, crystal-clear water, a soft sea breeze and total relaxation.
2 nights accommodation: Casa Particular Comfort in Vinales
8. DAY: Departure
Unless you have chosen to extend your holiday in Cuba with us, then we will return you to the airport in plenty of time to catch your flight. After this private Cuba tour you’ll leave with the heart full of great memories.

We booked a tour with Vamos Cuba at the last minute and Veronika was very helpful in arranging everything to fit around what we wanted to do with very little notice. We met up with Claudia in Havana and she was very helpful throughout our trip. She took us on a tour of Old Havana and it was really interesting to get the inside story of what life is like for Cubans. She was a great guide. At the end of our stay in Havana we were picked up by Maxie in his classic American car and he was our driver for the rest of our trip. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he drove us everywhere and waited whilst we visited the many tourist attractions on our itinerary. Trinidad was well worth a visit and there was plenty to do there and in the countryside around. Two of the many highlights were swimming under the waterfall at Parque el Cuba and sipping Mojitos watching the sunset in a rooftop bar. We went on to Playa Larga via Cienfuegos and the fascinating Bay of Pigs museum (Museo Giron) and stayed in a fantastic casa overlooking the sea where we had lobster on Valentine's night. We could have stayed there for much longer but set off after one night for Vinales. On the way we popped into meet Maxie's family, who were lovely and hospitable. Vinales is quite busy but our casa (Casa Flora) was quiet and the owner was lovely and and we had the best dinner we had all trip. She arranged a horseback ride thought the countryside behind the casa which was great and you could easily hike yourself through the tobacco fields. On our ride we met a farmer who showed us how he produces coffee and tobacco and rolls his cigars. All in all we had a fantastic trip and would love to see more of the country. The people are friendly, kind and open, the scenery is amazing and the museums are fascinating. There's loads to do and great beaches if that's your thing. The food is variable but cheap and the cocktails are fantastic . I would thoroughly recommend visiting Cuba and Vamos Cuba. The casas they booked for us were clean, comfortable and in great locations and we managed to fit in everything we wanted to see.
