You can choose from Salsa, Afro-Cuban, Traditional dances as mambo, cha-cha, Danzon, Contemporary or Ballet.
Just pick one of our classes listed below and get in touch. On your Dance holidays we aim to give you an authentic view of Cuba; away from the resorts and guided tour groups. By staying in a ‘casa particular’, and moving around in Havana by ‘taxi colectivo’, you’ll have the chance to see a side of Havana that the ¡Vamos*Cuba! team love.
We’ll always be available to give you tips on where to eat, drink, relax and have fun. And since we work directly with the locals, you can be assured that your money is going straight to them and helping their community.
Arrival to Havana
Arrive in Havana. You’ll be picked up in style in a classic American car and taken to your accommodation in a ‘casa particular’ (a Cuban guesthouse). Depending on the time of your arrival, your host will meet you at your accommodation and discuss the details of your stay.

In the morning, your tour host will take you to your first dance class. In the afternoon there is a short orientation walk through La Habana Vieja (Old Havana). In the evening you’ll have a chance to dance salsa at Club 1830, which is in a spectacular setting on the waterfront. It’s a popular place with many Cubans and dancers from around the world. Entrance fee: 3CUC.
In the morning you will have your second dance class. You’ll have the afternoon free to explore, and we can advise you on the best places to visit. In the evening we have planned a visit to Fortaleza San Carlos de la Cabana. You can attend the Ceremonia del Cañonazo, in which soldiers in nineteenth-century uniforms fire the canon at 9pm every evening. Entrance: 8CUC per person. Taxi required. After the ceremony, you’ll be taken to another great salsa venue, Hotel Florida, to see the locals in action. Entrance fee: 5CUC, 2 cocktails included.
Gradually we are getting into the rhythm. Music surrounds you in Cuba, and you will find it simply impossible to resist those vibes. Classes continue in the morning, and we can suggest more great places to practice in the afternoon and evening. In the afternoon, you can visit El Gran Palenque, which is home to the Conjunto Folklórico Nacional de Cuba. There are rumba and Afro-Cuban dance performances on the patio every Saturday. Entrance fee: 5CUC
Day off from classes
Today you’ll have a break from your classes and have the opportunity to relax and see more of the city. On Sundays you can see live rumba dance and music in Callejón de Hamel(12pm -3pm, entrance free).
It’s time to say goodbye to Havana; there will be just enough time for some last minute souvenir shopping and a light lunch in Havana. In the afternoon your vintage American car will take you back to the airport in time for your flight.

Included as standard in all of our packages. This is the best way to get to know the locals and gain a real insight into the Cuban way of life. Your accommodation will be in a central and accessible location, you’ll have a good sized room with a private bathroom or shared between a maximum of two rooms. You’ll have access to a terrace or balcony, and your room will have air conditioning.
For those who want complete privacy; for an extra charge you can get all of the features of a Comfort Casa with the added benefit of a private entrance in the same house as the family, or a completely separate apartment. You’ll have a kitchen, private bathroom, separate living area, TV, fridge and phone.
If you want a luxury but still want an authentic Cuban experience away from the hotels, then the luxury Casa is for you. You’ll have a beautifully designed and spacious room, lounge, terrace and an impressive view of either the Malecon or the City. You’ll also have a TV, phone and safety deposit box.
In case you wouldn’t feel comfortable staying in Casas Particulares we can make a reservation to any hotels in Cuba. Just let us know your preferences and we will sort it out for you. Price will depend on the season and the specific hotels.

Vamos Cuba Host is there to make your holiday as comfortable as possible and give you the insight of real Cuba. We will take care of the practical organisation of your trip (offering the best advice on where to go in your free time, and the best places to eat, drink, and relax.) Your Vamos Cuba host in Havana is Alfredo CarmenateAlfredo will pick you up from the airport and will take you to your Casa. He is there for you to help with any problems you might have and give you advices for your free time. He will also show you around all the important places on your first day (Alternatively on second day if you arrive late in the evening)Please note that he is there also for other clients of Vamos Cuba and wont be able to spend your free time with you except the first (or second day )
We do not include the flight into our packages as our clients tend to travel from different countries. We are happy to provide you with information on flight options.
If your package includes transfer from the airport, you will be picked up there by our contact and accompanied to your place of stay.
Cuba is the safest country in Latin Amerina. Cuba has the lowest crime rate in the Western Hemisphere! You will be surprised by the visible police presense in Cuba. Of course as in any country be careful of you belongings!
We don’t have age limit, we have something for everyone. For example we recommend Danzon class for seniors or dance class for kids where they can learn how to move as lion, cat or tree in wind.
A Tourist card is normally issued for 30 days. If you want to stay for another month you need to extend your visa at immigration in Havana for extra charge. Its very easy and fast to obtain the tourist card either via online website or directly with Cuban embassy. Feel free to contact us if you need any help. A Student visa is required if you are planning also study in Cuba more then 30 days. As most of ours courses are with professional organisation and school we will organise this for you. Only downside is that it takes a bit longer and we will need you to book our holiday at least 3 month in advance.
We have 4 levels: Beginners, Improvers, Intermediate and Advance. Contemporary and ballet classes are suitable for professionals and dance students.
Most of our customers are Solo Travelers and most of are packages are calculated for 1 person. However we do offer 10% discount to people sharing 1 room.

This can be done either by bank transfer or by cheque.The outstanding balance must be paid off at least 30 days before your departure.
You have 7 days following your booking confirmation in which you can cancel your reservation without any costs.
The only option is by bank transfer into our account or by cheque. To guarantee your booking, we require an advance payment of 15% within the next 7 days of booking. The rest of the amount has to be paid no later than 1 month before the starting date of your departure.
It’s legal requirement by Cuban government to have travel insurance before you entry the country.

In the first hour your teacher will introduce you to Cuban salsa (Casino); the principals of the dance and the movement. After that you will be split to 2 groups depending on your level. You will learn the basic steps of Casino and body movement.This course also includes 1 hour of Rumba, 1 hour of Cha Cha Cha, and 1 hour of Son. Salsa Dance Partner: All students of salsa will have a Cuban dance partner throughout the salsa classes, which will enable you to get a really deep understanding of authentic Cuban salsa. Don’t worry if you don’t speak Spanish; Veronika will be there to help out with language barriers, although some of the dance partners will speak some English. With your own dance partner the course is a far more intensive and rewarding learning experience.
Rumba is a dance of profound Cuban expression with African and Hispanic influenced elements. In this workshop you will learn to dance the main Rumba styles—Yambu, Guaguanco and Columbia—to the beat of a live instrumental ensemble. (Live music available only with min of 4 participants)
Adapted from the Cuban dance technique, this workshop covers the plasticity, energy and virtuosity of its deeply Cuban roots. This course is taught by professional Cuban dance companies and covers the technique and practical methodology of the dance, whilst also covering elements of physical preparation and choreography composition.
Content: This course was conceived from the technique internationally known as the Cuban School of Ballet, which has a highly technical and interpretive method, characterized by its plasticity, virtuosity and cubanness. Supported by its cultivators or creators in the world of ballet and through its awards in international competitions, the Cuban School of Ballet has defined its methodology as a deep practical approach, which is included in this course, along with elements of physical preparation and the exchange of ballet specialists in Cuba.
