Excellent Salsa holiday with Vamos Cuba

From day one I was well looked after. I booked the salsa solo dance tour and I was very pleased that I came across a tour such as this one. Veronika, the owner is very polite and helpful alongside her team of assistants. From arrival into Cuba I was greeted at the airport by Raul, who provided an overview into Cuba. My salsa lessons were taught by Yoerlis, a professional dancer/member of Danza Contemporanea de Cuba who has travelled to many parts of the world to teach and showcase dance. I felt very appreciative to be instructed by such an experienced dancer, extending my dance technique into Rumba, Son and refining my Salsa to be able to “really let go and move”. Yoerlis was patient and after assessing my ability he was able to encourage and push me further in body movement and technicality. He also taught me to really listen to timing and musicality. I was very impressed by having danced for over 14 years.

Alongside the dancing I was lucky to have had the chance of attending the theatre three times, attending the Gran Teatro de la Habana in Parque Central to watch performances by the Ballet Nacional de Cuba and Danza Contemporanea de Cuba. More than amazing to say the least! I also added the option of spending two days in Viñales and absolutely loved it. Niurka, my dance teacher in Viñales was just as great! If you want to extend your trip out of Havana I highly recommend this option. The countryside was absolutely beautiful and relaxed. To end my tour I headed east to Playa Larga and Trinidad, what a wonderful way to finish. Just perfect!
