Day Tour to Vinales
Havana to Vinales Day Trip
Take a stroll through the tobacco plants and roll your own cigar!
Cuba, as you know is famous for its cigars, but what might surprise you is that the tobacco leaves are grown in one of the most beautiful regions on the island, Pinar del Rio.
Our day tour from Havana, will take you to the west side of the island, on a pleasant two hour drive and into the Pinar del Rio region. It is a fertile landscape of lush green tobacco plants, which make some of the world’s best and most sought after cigar tobacco.
Viñales is a small town in a valley surrounded by a low mountain range. The whole area is dedicated to agriculture and fishing and the main crop is tobacco, which is harvested between March and May.
Viñales is the perfect location for practising your Spanish, taking photographs, horse riding, cycling or walking through the coffee and tobacco plantations. Read more about things to see in Vinales in our blog post.
This day tour is a privately arranged trip, you will have your own chauffeur of the vintage american car. This will give you the freedom to see exactly what you want to see and make the most of your visit. If you want another itinerary, more time at one stop than another, or you want to go horse riding or cycling, please let us know and we will arrange it.
